Outside _ starboard.jpeg

£189,500

Obsidian is a beautifully designed 60x12 collingwood eurocruiser Widebeam. With a long list of structural extras, the build and design was commissioned by the current owner who also completed the fit out. With her unique open plan layout obsidian offers maximum utilisation of every usable square foot. This creates the feel of endless space and offers unobstructed views throughout the living area

Starting with the super structure of the boat, obsidian is a 2019 60x12 foot collingwood Widebeam with 10mm base 6mm side and roof. The hull of the boat was professionally painted by the collingwood boat company with a custom two tone gloss and matt black colour scheme and 2 pack epoxy treatment. A eurocruiser stern was added to the build creating a 12x8 stern, with structural seating and plenty of outside storage. The stern of obsidian was recently fitted with a new canopy creating a incredible outside living space. For ease and comfort while cruising obsidian was built with a wheeled steering system. As another added extra, obsidian was built with a wraparound enclosed bow. This transformed the usually unused front deck to a further 5ft of useable internal space. This is also the feature that allowed for the central symmetrical theme that runs through the design of the internal space. Lastly at the front of the boat is the 95kg vetus bow  thruster which makes parking and tight manoeuvers a breeze. The bow thruster sits below a huge 2sq metre storage locker which is perfect for storing all your outdoors gear

Internally, starting from the stern, is a large fully functioning double sided kitchen which is entered from a large 3ft double door with sliding roof hatch. Keeping with the external colour scheme the matt black kitchen units are made from recycled plastic and finished with solid oak worktops making this a sustainably sourced instalment. On the functional, starboard side, is a LPG 4 burner hob and oven, a butler sink and a full size washing machine that has a 15 minute water saving quick wash making it perfect for boating. Plus storage. The portside of the kitchen is home to the fridge freezer and more storage. Also a dedicated storage space for large items or extra appliances if desired. This side of the kitchen is also the location for the electrical panel and the controls for the central heating system. The kitchen then ends with two beautiful large breakfast bars both with specially installed side hatches meaning you’ll never be short of a stunning breakfast view

The lounge which follows on from the kitchen is a simplistic and relaxing space consisting of a 3 seater sofa bed, arm chair and side table. To the portside of the living room is a 5kv multi fuel burner that stands on a mount that was special fabricated for this boat to match the profile of the fire. Above head is a high definition projector with pull down screen turning the space into a home cinema! Both the kitchen and living space are finished with custom made shutter blinds to complete the contemporary design

Through the first doorway is the first room. This has been used by the current owner as a multi functioning space and is easily transformed to a office, treatment room or second bedroom. Spanning the entire width of the boat with porthole windows on both sides it’s a large open space ready to be easily tailored to the owners needs

Continuing through the space takes you to what is possibly the crown jewel of the boat, the bathroom. With its stylish freestanding bath and modern design you could easily forget your on a boat and instead be in a 5 star boutique hotel! The freestanding bath with freestanding taps is also accompanied by a rain down shower. To the starboard side are his and hers wash basins with storage bellow. To the portside is the toilet which is a vetus pumpout with a large holding tank. The bathroom is kept light and airy with a frosted porthole window on either side. The bathroom is a pleasure to use with the open plan layout but privacy is easy obtained with oak shaker panel doors on both sides

Following on from the bathroom is the walk through wardrobe. With hanging rails and a chest of draws on boat sides. Through intelligent simple design, when the bathroom doors are open the wardrobe area is no longer seen and the area becomes a walkway to the master bedroom

The master bedroom. With its central bed this room encompasses the thyme of symmetry seen throughout the boat. The custom built king size bed houses a 32” smart tv which rises using a remote or switch. Above the bed is a forward facing window that opens to allow epic views! The room also has porthole windows on both sides and extra storage. A very special part of this room is the view down the boat from the bed that really allows you to appreciate the entire space with a uninterrupted view from end to end

The entire boats is floored using Karndean vinyl flooring. Karndean is waterproof and can be laid in rooms up to 95% relative humidity. Karndean is easy to clean and maintain making it the perfect floor for a boat. The master bedroom has luxury carpet with a high quality underlay

Obsidian is a very special, well thought about space. Designed with beauty, pleasure and functional living as the main focus.

When Obsidian was originally built in Liverpool she was constructed with a large list of extras. She came as a sailaway (lined) Plus with the full editions package. This means the ceiling and cabin walls were completed by the master craftsmen of the liverpool boat company and finished to the highest standard. All 12v and 240v electrics onboard were also installed and safety checked in this process. As well as the central heating system. What this means is all the above have been beautifully and correctly installed by industry leaders
